On 5 November 2025, Professor Leighton gave the opening lecture at a conference in Germany.
The conference was the German Kavitationsworkshop. It is held every 2 years in Kloster Drübeck, a former Benedictine nunnery on the northern edge of the Harz in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt.
The conference was jointly organised by Prof. Claus-Dieter Ohl Otto-von-Guericke of the University of Magdeburg Institute of Physics, and Dr. Robert Mettin of the Georg-August University of Göttingen Third Institute of Physics.
The topic of Professor Leighton’s lecture was ‘Ultrasonically activated stream technology’.
